ABOUT LANSDOWNE TECHNOLOGIES
Lansdowne Technologies Inc. (Lansdowne) creates custom-made solutions that help our customers succeed. Lansdowne’s practice lines are derived from more than 30 years of providing a full range of project management services founded upon the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) combined with the domain specific expertise of a team of more than sixty experienced consultants. Lansdowne enjoys a well recognized reputation for delivering high quality value-added services to its clients.
Lansdowne Technologies Inc. was founded on November 13th, 1976 as a privately owned Canadian company operating in Canada's National Capital Region. In April of 2003, Lansdowne merged with FirstMark Technologies Ltd. and the combined companies now operate under the Lansdowne banner. FirstMark, a privately owned Canadian company operating since 1972, was a provider of project, technology and business management services to government clients, focusing that expertise on the space and health sectors. Lansdowne and FirstMark had a history of cooperation, collaboration and support across their respective business lines. The merger represented a natural next step in Lansdowne's evolution and the resulting new shareholder group has brought an enhanced capacity, growth and expansion.
Lansdowne is organized simply, with a President responsible for Business Operations, Financial Management, and Business Development assisted by a Vice President who shares in the managerial workload and plays a leading role in business development.
The company maintains an Ethics Officer, responsible for ensuring that the highest possible ethical and professional standards are maintained; a Quality Manager, responsible for conducting the company quality program, including the coordination of our customer satisfaction surveys and reports; a Chief Information Officer, responsible for the management and stewardship of the company’s information management systems and the management of information held by the company; and a Company Security Officer, responsible for ensuring that all personnel and facilities meet the Government of Canada security requirements for working on Government contracts.
Lansdowne ensures high quality service through a Quality Management program that includes consideration for:
Cultural Factors:
- Careful Hiring: We hire exceptional people who have the knowledge, experience and leadership to provide high quality services.
- Client Relations: We work closely with our clients to ensure that we understand their needs in order to help them succeed.

- Cooperative Environment: We help each other out when we’re asked and we ask for help when we need it.
- Code of Ethics: We are committed to acting in an ethical manner worthy of the trust placed in the company by our clients, staff, shareholders, strategic partners and community.
Procedural Factors:
- Structure and Process: Projects are organized using best project management practices. Methodologies are designed to produce results.
- Applied Experience: Knowledge from previous assignments is transferred to new assignments when appropriate.
- Peer Review: All deliverables are reviewed by another Lansdowne team member before submission to the client.
- Customer Satisfaction Survey: Concerns are identified and corrected, and lessons learned documented for the next project.
- Use of Project Teams: We assign teams of two or more consultants to most assignments so that:
- there is a natural internal consultative and review process;
- a broader range of experience and knowledge is provided to the client;
- our consultants learn from each other’s knowledge and experience; and more of our consultants can apply the experience on future projects.

A Merry Lansdowne Christmas
Lansdowne will be supporting our traditional annual Christmas Wish project for the 8th year. This year, we contacted the Caldwell Family Centre and are receiving the particulars of families who are in need this holiday season. Thanks to your overwhelming support last year, we will again be supporting six families.
As always, participation for all is, of course, entirely voluntary. As in the past, we welcome participation from both Employees and Associates. Generally, one can contribute in two ways; financial contribution or directed gifts for the families.
Last year, we supported six families (a total of 25 people). As indicated, thanks to the generosity of Lansdowne Employees and Associates, we ensured gifts for the families, provided Christmas dinner and a financial contribution in the form of grocery certificates for those extra items needed to round out the holiday. We hope to be able to provide at least one gift for each adult and two for each child.
For financial contributions, please contact Trudy Millette directly with contribution details. All gifts should be placed in Trudy’s Gift Box by the front door at Lansdowne, before December 17th. We will also be donating non-perishable food items to each family – please place donations in Trudy’s Food Hamper between December 7th and 18th.
At this time of year when the need is the most greatest, our contributions help make Christmas for these families. These are austere times for many families and most of us find ourselves in fortunate positions to put food on the table and gifts under the tree. We are hoping to do the same for these families. Thanks for your support!
